Leadership & Management
I bring strategic vision, care, and integrity to every project I lead. As the Managing Director of Semibreve CIC, I work closely with a team of like-minded directors to co-create innovative, inclusive and high-quality music projects that respond to real needs in the community. My leadership is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the creative process — always centring the needs of both artists and audiences.

I recently completed the Cultural Leadership Programme, a ground-breaking initiative designed to support forward-thinking cultural leaders. This has further strengthened my approach to governance, project design, funding strategy, and inclusive team management.

My leadership practice spans the creative and operational spectrum: I have produced festivals, commissioned new work, designed educational programmes, and developed funding strategies that sustain both emerging and established talent. I am especially proud of my role in shaping the annual Newcastle Piano Festival, developing the Semibreve studio as a safe and welcoming recording space for underrepresented musicians, and initiating outreach models that prioritise access, excellence, and long-term impact.
